OAKS BECKONS FOR NAARA

MELBOURNE - MORE Than Ready filly Run For Naara catapulted herself into outright favourtism to win next month's VRC Crown Oaks after her dazzling victory in Saturday's 3YO Sportingbet Plate (2000m) at Caulfield.

The Patinack Farm owned filly charged passed her rivals to score by a widening 2.8 lengths under her big weight.
Two starts ago, the flashy chestnut stretched top colt Denman to a 0.8L second in the G2 Stan Fox Stakes.

``On that win she deserves to be the Oaks favourite,'' winning rider Hugh Bowman said, ``She had 59kg and gave weight to all her rivals and still won with ease.''

The VRC Crown Oaks will be run at Flemignton on November 5.

This Patapan Colt foal is from our Volkstraad mare Dubbe.  Here he is at only 3 days old!  We are delighted with the foal and she will be going back to Patapan this season.
